Certification and Valuation
The Cuixart Foundation, as a unique and legitimate entity, has the function of accrediting works attributed to Modest Cuixart and issuing the corresponding certificates of authenticity, as well as issuing valuation documents for works at the request of individuals, collectors, or institutions.
It involves two differentiated services, with different purposes, that share a same initial application form.
Certificate of authenticity
The certificate of authenticity officially certifies that a work has been examined and recognised by the Expert Commission of the Cuixart Foundation.
Conditions and criteria
In order for a work to obtain the certificate of authenticity, the following conditions must be met:
- The Commission of Experts certifies original works, as well as numbered and signed graphic works, reproductions or dedications.
- Only certificates for the works directly examined by the Commission will be issued.

Once the initial documentation has been reviewed, the Foundation will contact the applicant. -

- Study and resolution
The Commission will examine the work and issue the corresponding resolution. - Costs
At the time of the expert assessment and, if applicable, the issuance of the certificate, the processing and advisory costs will be communicated by email, which may vary depending on the work.
Assessment of the work
The Cuixart Foundation offers a guidance valuation service for artwork, independent of the authentication process.
This document aims to advise on the estimated value of a work attributed to Modest Cuixart.
Necessary documentation
To be able to carry out the assessment, it is necessary to:
- Attach a clear photographic image of the front and back of the work to the application form. - Provide the requested basic information about the work.
The documentation will be reviewed beforehand before proceeding with the issuance of the valuation document.
Cost
The cost of the work valuation document is 50 €.
